BUT it lacks any in-depth analysis (maybe I'm just expecting a little bit too much from an OFFICIAL companion). The occasional fun stuff is there as well, and the song guides are pretty cool. Every episode gets four pages (except for the season finale) and those are filled with mostly uninteresting trivia about costumes and special effects. It's an interesting read, but it lacks depth. The Supernatural Companion for S2 is the first one I've bought, but seeing that the author is the same for all three books published so far, I doubt there's much difference. The depth and attention to detail that Topping shows are unparalleled. I guess I'm just a bit spoiled when it comes to tv show guides, but the first one I ever read, was Keith Topping's Angel unofficial guide, "Hollywood Vampire", followed by his Buffy one - "Slayer".
